Staunch vegetarian Sir Paul McCartney reportedly told a chef to "stick" his meal after he was served meat.
The musical legend was dining at New York restaurant Nick and Toni's with his girlfriend Nancy Shevell recently when the chef ordered a waiter to carry a meat-based amuse bouche to "his vegetarian guests".
According to the New York Post newspaper Paul, who is a regular at the restaurant, reportedly told the waiter: "You can tell the chef to stick it… but don't tell him I said that."
It was recently revealed the 66-year-old musician - who refuses to buy leather shoes and even asked for the leather interior in his Lexus car to be swapped for cloth – stayed in a leather-clad ranch room while on a US road trip with Nancy.
A source said: "He booked the room himself, but wouldn't have realised that it had so much leather in its interior.
"He would have been a bit annoyed, but the whole point of the trip is to travel anonymously so he wouldn't have caused a fuss.
"He can't change how other people decorate a room."
