Willows Animal Sanctuary is the largest sanctuary in Aberdeenshire and it, at present, only has enough funds to continue its crucial work until Christmas.
Willows try to help any animal in distress. Prompted by the horse meat scandal, it has almost doubled its number of rescue horses, ponies, donkeys and mules, which would otherwise have faced slaughter. It now cares for over 90 equines as well as over 60 cats and dogs, 100 farm animals and birds and many more small animals and reptiles. The sanctuary also aids vulnerable people through its Animal Assisted Therapy Programme.
Willows Animal Sanctuary is a self funded charity which needs the public's help and financial support in order for it to continue its vital work.
