Following Peace One Day's 2012 concert with Sir Elton John at Wembley Arena London, this year Peace One Day has been asked to bring its annual Peace Day celebration to The Hague on Saturday 21 September to mark the 100th anniversary of the Peace Palace.
Performances are confirmed from German Grammy-Award nominated Electronic Dance music DJ Paul van Dyk, award winning British singer songwriter Natasha Bedingfield, Oscar-nominated Brazilian legend Carlinhos Brown, Spanish superstar and Grammy Person of the Year Miguel Bosé, BRIT award-nominated British band The Feeling, UK X-Factor runner up Jahméne Douglas and Dutch rock band Kane.
The concert will also include contributions from Peace One Day ambassador Jude Law, musician Emmanuel Jal, actress and philanthropist Monique Coleman, Peace One Day founder Jeremy Gilley and other key individuals.
The concert will be the highlight of Peace One Day's 24-Hour Global Broadcast on Peace Day 21 September on YouTube, which will also contain live content from all around the world, and a series of exclusive interviews from some of the world's leading actors including Sir Michael Caine, Gael García Bernal, Richard E Grant, Martin Freeman, Forest Whitaker and Jude Law. Each 'Act for Peace' will include a speech chosen and performed by the actor, relating to peace.
Peace One Day ambassador Jude Law, who is producing the concert with Gilley said: "Peace One Day shows get better and better year on year. To be invited to The Hague to mark the centenary of the Peace Palace is a very special moment. We're grateful for all the support we are receiving from the city. The concert on 21 September will be an opportunity to highlight some of the extraordinary activities taking place on Peace Day around the world."
