The Pet Shop Boys are about to enter the studio to record their first new album since 2009's Yes.
Neil Tennant has taken to the duo's site to post the following:

Songwriting
We've been in the studio for the last few weeks continuing to write songs for our next album. So far this year we've written 16 new songs. I think we'll start recording the album in November for release next year. Neil x
The new album would be their eleventh studio set since Please was relased 25 years ago. They have been busy most of this year promoting their first ballet, The Most Incredible Thing, and touring with Take That.
