The 37-year-old performer recently revealed his intentions to bring his five-year-old son Junior on stage with him during one of his shows as he's such a good parent.
But Pete denies that he is trying to make his son into a star.
He said in his column in UK magazine new!: 'There was a story in a mag last week saying I was a 'pushy' parent and that I want Junior to be the next Willow Smith - the ten-year-old daughter of Will Smith.
'I found this story offensive and I would like to make it clear that I will never, ever push my kids into anything they don't want to do.
'The whole story was based on the fact that I mentioned in my column that Junior would be making an appearance on my tour, but he's not going to be on stage with me.'
He added: 'During my set there's a little video of him dancing, which fits into the story, that's all.
'Junior is a born performer and trust me when I say that there will be no stopping him from getting on stage when he's older if that's what he wants. But in the meantime, I've no intention of trying to get him a record deal!'
