The 'Behind Closed Doors' hitmaker ' who was rushed to hospital with kidney poisoning last month ' admitted that though performing at London's The O2 was a "dream come true", he had gone against the advice of medical experts.
He explained: "This is one of the places everyone, me in particular, dreams of performing. I never thought in a billion years I'd be performing to a crowd like this.
"I actually had to go to hospital and have an operation last month, and the doctor advised me not to perform. But here I am!"
The 37-year-old singer ' who raises three children with ex-wife Katie Price, her son Harvey, eight, and their two kids, five-year-old Junior and Princess Tiaamii, three ' also spoke of how being around blind and autistic Harvey helped him to "grow up".
Peter added: "Harvey taught me to grow up. I wrote 'Unconditional' for him and I hope one day he'll grow up to understand what the song is about."
Supporting the singer on the latest date of his 'Accelerate' arena tour was doo-wop boyband The Overtones, who wowed crowd with a selection of classic hits, including 'Life Could Be A Dream', 'Why Do Fools Fall In Love?' and festive track 'White Christmas'.
