Overview
The 37-year-old reality star/singer was rushed to hospital after being struck down with kidney poisoning, but said his memory of falling ill is a little hazy.
Writing in his Closer column, he said, 'I'm very pleased and relieved to say that I am on the road to recovery after my health scare last week.
'I had poisoning in my kidneys and had to be operated on within two hours of being taken to hospital.
'When I woke up in the small hours of the morning last Friday, I was in agony. I was totally out of it and all I remember is Carl getting me to the hospital, then waking up to a surgeon saying, 'The operation went very well, Mr. Andre.''
He added, 'It's so great to feel better and I've now been given the all-clear, which is amazing. I've lost a few pounds and I'm now down to 153lbs, which is what I weighed at my skinniest last year. But don't worry. I'm sure I'll be putting some back on over Christmas.'
