Peter Jackson has posted a new video blog updating fans on all the goings on from the set of The Hobbit.
The director is joined in the video by Andy Serkis, who reprises his role as Gollum.
The pair are filmed sitting and chatting in a hobbit's house.
Martin Freeman - who has been cast as Bilbo Baggins - is briefly seen in costume during a scene with Hugo Weaving's Elrond.
As well as playing the character he made famous in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Serkis takes on second unit director duties, saying to Jackson: "Now I've gone to the dark side. I don't know how you do it."
Jackson replies: "I always tell people I get exhausted at the end of day two and I stay exhausted."
The ten minute film also shows fellow cast members Ian McKellan and James Nesbitt talking about their plans for a summer break.
The video was filmed at the end of the first block of filming in New Zealand.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is scheduled for release in December 2012.
