Last Wednesday Music News witnessed Phil Manzanera's launch performance of Firebird V11 with what can only be described as a musicians feast.
The RoxyMusic guitarist's new four-piece enthralled an acceptive audience with three new tracks from his latest uninhibited multi-facetted offering. Playing a Gibson Firebird all the boxes were ticked for the launch of Firebird V11.
With flickers of Floyd, Lambchop, Dire Straits and of course Roxy the Gibson Guitar Studio was filledwith a sense of bewildered optimism. Speaking to Music News before the show Phil Manzanera commented "these songs are a mixture from my messed up brain".
