On 7 January 2010 Royal Mail issued a set of ten stamps featuring Classic Album Covers. Pink Floyd's 'The Division Bell' is one of the albums featured.
Having worked closely with the band's representatives and have now been allowed to produce an officially licensed 'Divison Bell' First Day Cover, which has been authorised and approved. This item has been produced in a strictly limited edition of just 1,994 pieces worldwide as the album was originally released in 1994.
Each cover in the edition is individually numbered and has the Division Bell stamp cancelled by a special 'single day of use' postmark for the day of issue incorporating a picture of the band for Ely in Cambridgeshire. Ely Cathedral features in the cover design and the famous heads were arranged in a field near Ely during the design of the album cover. The cover also incorporates several of the 'album art' images variously used on the album and CD releases throughout the world.
The reverse of the envelope bears some descriptive text related to the album to complete this highly collectable 'Pink Floyd' item, which looks wonderful framed.
