Commenting on her confidence, Pixie Lott reveals she doesn't get nervous about anything and is perfectly at home when she's on stage performing:
"... I get so excited before I go on stage, I jump around and go crazy, especially if it's a festival or a really big show. I'm definitely at my most comfortable and confident onstage because I absolutely love it. As long as I'm enjoying it I know the audience will too... I don't think anything makes me nervous actually - I'm just not a nervous person."
But, she admits she hasn't always been so self-assured:
"... I was really shy at primary school. I think going to stage school brought out my confidence, because everyone's so crazy and loud, and I guess you have to find a way to get noticed."
Speaking about living at home with her parents, Pixie is feeling the draw of the US:
"... I officially share a room with my sister, but she's always at her boyfriend's house so she's never at home... I do want to get my own flat, although I'd want to live with a friend, otherwise I'd be scared at night time."
"[I would] definitely [like to move to LA] for a few years. You've got to make life as exciting as possible. I'd miss my friends but every time I go there I try to invite them anyway - on my recent trip, two of my best friends came for the whole time. Everyone in LA is so friendly and happy and smiley, which I love, but then everyone's like, 'It's not genuine you know'. But I just like to have friendly people around."
Pixie was awarded the 'Ultimate Newcomer' award at The Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards 2009.
