PJ HARVEY: Recording in Progress, a project conceived by PJ Harvey in collaboration with Artangel and Somerset House.
Harvey has chosen to make her much anticipated ninth album inside an architectural installation, open to public view at Somerset House's recently opened.
New Wing for four weeks only. The structure, a recording studio in the form of an enclosed box, has one-way glazing, displaying PJ Harvey, her band, producers and engineers as a mutating, multi-dimensional sound sculpture.
Pj Harvey said "I want the recording process to operate as if we are in a recording gallery. I hope the public will be able to experience the flow and energy of the recording process."
The recording will take place at Somerset House between the 16th January - 14th February.
