Plan B has said he intends to turn his back on his commercial success and go back “underground” on his next album.
The rapper-turned-singer topped the UK album chart earlier this year with his soul-led album 'The Defmatation Of Strictland Banks'.
But Plan B, real name Ben Drew, said his next record would be a less commercial hip-hop release.
"When I bring my next record out everybody's going to be, 'He's a fader, he's a one-hit wonder',” Plan B told BBC Newsbeat.
"[But] people in the know about music won't... they'll love it because I'm going to make it great.
“It's not going to be on radio and everyone who's offering up to give me free cars or whatever are gonna stop.”
But Plan B said that he may return to soul in the future, adding: "I can be mainstream whenever I want.”
As previously reported on Gigwise, the rapper is set to embark on a huge UK tour in 2011.
