Plan B won three accolades at the Ivor Novello Awards today (19.05.11).
The rapper - real name Ben Drew - took home a hat trick of prizes at the ceremony, winning Songwriter of the Year, the Album Award for 'The Defamation of Strickland Banks', and PRS For Music Most Performed Work for his hit single 'She Said'.
Despite his success with 'She Said', Ben admitted he has now heard it so many times, he no longer likes the track.
He told BANG Showbiz: "I don't really like the song anymore. When I'm out people sometimes come up to me and sing the first two lines to me and it feels like a TV theme song or something. Or I'll walk into a restaurant and they'll start playing it. But I have to just keep thinking back to when I first wrote the song."
The British star is now hoping to return to his rap roots after enjoying mainstream success in the last several months.
He added: "I want to go back to underground albums now, but I don't think this will leave many commercial doors open for me. I will come back to commercial records later, but I need to show people I'm still a rapper."
Other winners at the ceremony, which took place at London's Grosvenor House Hotel, were Villagers, who were awarded the Best Song Musically and Lyrically gong for 'Becoming a Jackal', Tinie Tempah, whose track 'Pass Out' was named Best Contemporary Song, and Muse, whose global success was recognised with the International Achievement honour.
'Bonkers' hitmaker Dizzee Rascal picked up the Ivors Inspiration Award, while Paul Rodgers took home the PRS for Music Outstanding Contribution to British Music honour.
