Point Break, the 1991 action thriller starring Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves, is to be remade, according to reports.
The remake is said to be focused around the world of extreme sports, as opposing to the surfing motif of the original movie.
Reeves played FBI agent Johnny Utah, who goes undercover to investigate a surfer gang suspected of robbing banks.
Swayze had originally been lined up to reprise his role as gang leader Bodhi, but he passed away in 2009.
A spokesperson for Action Entertainment told Variety: "The new version is set in the world of international extreme sports, and like the original involves an undercover FBI agent infiltrating a criminal ring."
Another of Swayze's acclaimed movies, Dirty Dancing, is also getting remade, with the blessing of his widow, Lisa Niemi.
