MTV Music have announced details of a brand new live show Soundchain, and have booked in some of the biggest bands on the planet for the first series.
Hosted by Zane Lowe (who knows a thing or two about good music), the show will premiere on MTV Music on 6 July 2014, and each show will focus on one band or artists. Mixing live performances with interview footage conducted by Lowe, the show will chart each band's rise from obscurity to superstardom.
Artists confirmed for the new series are Queens of the Stone Age, Kasabian, Nas, Ed Sheeran, Jake Bugg, Chase & Status and Biffy Clyro.
Speaking of the new show, Lowe says in a statement: "I’m excited! This is the type of TV show I’ve wanted to do for a really long time. We’re attempting to re-create some of the amazing journeys that these artists have been on, as they tell us about the people, the records and the experiences that have brought them to where they are today.
"We are going to travel the world looking for the best stories from some of the best musicians around, who will also be giving us some incredible live performances."
The show has been filmed across the world, in locations including London, New York, Los Angeles and Slovenia. Soundchain premieres on MTV Music on Sunday, 6 July at 9:30pm.
