Now that the Dr. Conrad Murray trial is over, it looks like Michael Jackson's dermatologist Dr. Arnold Klein is next on the radar. The Medical Board of California has subpoenaed the doctor in what is said to be their concern that he over-prescribed Demerol to the singer.
TMZ reports that the allegations include him self-prescribing the drug, using false names on prescriptions, illegally handing out samples and other charges.
Paul McCartney brought out a special guest at Monday night's show at the O2 Arena in London. Ron Wood joined Paul for Get Back. The show also saw the U.K. concert debut of three Beatles songs, The Night Before, The Word and Come and Get It (originally meant for a Beatles record but actually a hit for Badfinger).
Glen Campbell was forced to postpone his concert at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium due to laryngitis. The singer/guitarist is currently in the middle of his Goodbye Tour. Makeup date is January 3.
A new park will open next year in Seattle to salute hometown legend Jimi Hendrix. Plans include having different themes from his music artistically represented throughout the area. Designs are currently being considered by the the Seattle council.
Saturday night, George Jones performed at the Tammy Wynette Birthplace Concert in Itawamba, MS to raise money for a memorial park for the late-singer as part of the Mississippi Country Music Trail. Jones sang many of his own hits along with two of his duet hits with Wynette, Take Me and Golden Ring. Wynette's parts were sung by Brittany Allyn.
Jones and Wynette were not only singing partners but also married for a time. Jones said "I know if she could be here, she would really appreciate it so much. She was a great singer and she deserves anything being done for her. And I appreciate it on my part."
