The trial of Dr. Conrad Murray in the death of Michael Jackson has been put on hold until Wednesday. The move came after the prosecution revealed that a new toxicology test done by the coroner showed a different level of Lorazepam in Jackson's body. The defense will use the time to prepare for the new evidence
The Who are mounting a special exhibition in London in conjunction with the release of Quadrophenia: The Director's Cut. The show will be at the Pretty Green store on Carnaby Street and will include Pete Townshend's notes, diaries, pictures and lyrics for the album.
The Bridge School 25th Anniversary DVD will be screened in theaters on October 24, the same day as the CD and DVD are released. Rolling Stone has a list of the participating theaters.
Tommy Iommi has given hope to a Black Sabbath reunion with Ozzy Osbourne. He told Metro.co.uk, "Who knows? It's like when we had Ronnie James Dio with us, we broke up, got back together, did another album and tour. You can never tell. We got back together with Ozzy in 1997 and toured so you never know what's around the corner."
Metallica and Lou Reed just might be up for some live performances of their upcoming album, Lulu. James Hetfield told an Argentine radio station "We would love to do some shows. I don't know how many, I don't know where. How many can we do together? It doesn't need to be 20 shows and it doesn't need to be one show ... somewhere in the middle there, I think, to give everyone a taste of it and just see what it's like.
"I'm sure there's some Metallica fans that will think that 'This is the new Metallica record. I don't like it. I'm scared.' And it's not. This is a project that was presented to us that we wanted to challenge ourselves with."
Dave Davies reaffirmed his belief that a b reunion is not in the offering. He told the Daily Mirror about his relationship with brother Ray "How could I not love my own brother? I just can't stand to be with him. About an hour with Ray's my limit, so it would be a very short reunion."
He added that the idyllic memories of the Kinks are often overshadowed by reality. "I try not to think about those days. When I hear it on the radio, I get excited, until you think about the way things really were ' the bad contracts, the arguments, beating people up, getting beaten up, all the shit. But, in the end, hopefully, it will only be the music that is left."
