The Red Hot Chili Peppers will celebrate the Aug. 30 release of their new album, "I'm With You," by offering fans a live concert that can be viewed from their local multiplex. 450 select U.S. movie theaters will air "Red Hot Chili Peppers LIVE: I'm With You," in which the band's performance in Cologne, Germany, will be broadcast live in high-definition via satellite.
RHCP will perform the new album is sequence before launching into a set of greatest hits; according to a press release, the performance will be the first and only time the band plays "I'm With You" in its entirety. Tickets for the event, which will also hit theaters in Europe, Canada and Latin America, went on sale on Friday (Aug. 5) at participating box offices and www.RHCPLiveHD.com.

"I'm With You," the Chili Peppers' follow-up to the 2006 double-disc "Stadium Arcadium," was preceded by the single "The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie," currently at No. 76 on the Hot 100. The "Maggie" music video was directed by upstart female rapper Kreayshawn and will debut later this month.
