Red Hot Chili Peppers will release a live album in August but the CD will only be available in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and Japan.
The yet to be titled album will be recorded during their Hyde Park gigs in London next month.
The Chili Peppers announced the support act for the show will be soul legend James Brown. It is not out of the question that Brown will join them on stage and appear on their album.
Brown will tour with the Chili Peppers and perform on the Manchester, London and Cardiff shows. Chicks On Speed are also on that leg of the tour. Edinburgh fans miss out on Brown but in his place with have N*E*R*D as support.
In related Chili Peppers news, guitarist John Frusciante will release six new albums before the end of this year. The first called 'The Will To Death' will be released on June 22. The first album will be under his own name. Another will be released as Ataxia, his side project. The Ataxia CD will be released on August 10.
