Latin star Ricky Martin confirmed reports he's got a new beau by posing for photos on the red carpet with artist Jwan Yosef on Friday night (15Apr16).
Over the past few weeks, reports surfaced the Livin' la Vida Loca singer had struck up a romantic relationship with Jwan after they were spotted spending time together in New York City and Tokyo.
And Ricky has finally put the gossip to rest by coupling up with his boyfriend at the 2016 amfAR Inspiration Gala in San Paulo, Brazil, where he also performed. The event was held to help raise money for AIDS research programmes and to celebrate men's fashion around the world.
Ricky took to Instagram.com to post a photo of himself proudly holding hands with Jwan as they posed for photographers on the red carpet, and he added the simple caption, "Yup", which seemed to confirm their relationship.
Meanwhile, Jwan shared a snap of Ricky performing with Brazilian singer Ivete Sangalo, and wrote, "KICKED A**".
Painter Jwan has quite an interesting background as after being born in Syria, he grew up in Sweden and is now living in London.
Ricky, father of seven-year-old twin boys Matteo and Valentino, via a surrogate, previously dated economist Carlos Gonzalez for three years until their split in 2014.
Carlos had acted as a second father to Ricky's kids, and although they were were frosty for a year after the break-up, they have since gotten back on good terms for the sake of his sons.
Ricky previously told Britain's The Sun newspaper, "He comes to see the kids. There was a year of silence but now we're buddies. I try to keep my life very civilised, that's what I need for the well-being of my children."
At the time of the 2015 interview, Martin also revealed he was actively looking to settle down with a serious romantic partner, adding, "I meet people. I'm fine. I meet very handsome men. I like to have a conversation, looking into someone's eyes and finding out their sense of humour... We're all men. It's in our DNA to go for it. But I have two boys and I cannot bring different men every day into my house."
