The former home of Ringo Starr has been targeted by souvenir hunters before it is due to be demolished.
Beatles fans have removed bricks from the property in Madryn Street, Liverpool.
A councils spokesperson told BBC News that extra metal cladding had been applied to the house to try and deter fans.
In August, councillors decided that the property was not worth saving and should be knocked down as past of widespread redevelopment in the area.
Starr, who turned 70 earlier this year, lived at the house in the early years of his life. One local has launched a campaign to protect the property.
