Singer Rita Ora wants young people to succeed without changing who they are.
With Jay Z as her mentor, it's no wonder the British singer-and-actress has hit the big time. Now she's keen to pass those skills onto others, with a seat on the panel of UK's The X Factor one of her ways of doing so.
"I want young people to use their skills, while not changing who they are and just being themselves," she explained to Germany's Jolie magazine.
And it's not just Jay who played a part in Rita's rise to success. The 24-year-old is very close to her mother Vera and holds the lessons she taught her close to her heart.
"She taught me I have to give it my all if I want to achieve my goals," she revealed. "I don't just share that approach to life, it also inspires me."
It means Rita has grown into a strong woman who would describe herself as someone who is honest and has fun.
Things aren't just going well in Rita's career; she's also enjoying a relationship with Blink-182's Travis Barker. His rep recently confirmed they are together
"Rita sought him out and gave him her info. They have been together every day since," a source told Us Weekly previously.
"He's really into her. He likes interesting women and she's beautiful."
Looks aren't the only thing that attracted him however. He's also spoken out about how much they have in common.
"We actually share a lot of the same tastes in music. Little did I know, she likes punk rock a lot, I love that. I was raised on it, you know," he gushed.
