On the verge of his Megadeth co-headlining tour, Rob Zombie has spoken about his next album and his new horror flick.
Horror director and schlock metaller Rob Zombie and his band John 5, Piggy D and Ginger Fish will hit the studio on June 1 to follow up his 2010 album Hellbilly Deluxe 2.
"It has been way, and I mean way too long without any new music. I am dying to get back to it," Zombie said in a press release.
"I have not felt this much excitement within the band since recording the first Hellbilly Deluxe record almost 15 years ago. We have been working on tons of songs for quite some time and I can safely say this will definitely be our best record yet."
In between times, Zombie will tour through the US in May with Megadeth, and then polish off his latest horror film The Lords Of Salem.
"I am enjoying taking my time finishing this film," he said, "I hate rushing things at this stage of the process, so it is a luxury to take it slow and really fine-tune every part of the production."
The new album is slated to be released before the end of the year.
