Robert Pattinson Calls Breaking Dawn Birth Scene 'Hardcore'

Robert Pattinson has described Bella Swan's birth scene in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 as "hardcore."

In addition to seeing his character Edward Cullen marrying Kristen Stewart's Bella, the on-screen pair also have their first child.

The Cosmopolis star told fans at the San Diego Comic-Con: "I think the birth scene... for a fantasy series that has kind of a youngish audience, it goes very far. There was no other way to do it."

Taylor Lautner, who plays warewolf Jacob Black, admitted that he struggles to name his favourite scene from the new film, saying: "I've always been able to choose one... But this one I can't. I don't know. There's so much going on in this movie and all of the characters are dealing with their own little things."

When asked about their child, Stewart revealed that she had problems holding the young actress, saying: "I couldn't pick up the kid sometimes."

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 is released on November 18.
