As we inch toward November, the end of "The Twilight Saga" grows closer and closer. For Robert Pattinson, that will mean once again talking on end about his role in the series and what it's like returning to the character. But this final time promoting "Twilight" will mean a lot more reminiscing and explaining what the uber-popular series has meant for him.
When Pattinson sat down with MTV News' Josh Horowitz for "MTV First," promoting his latest film, David Cronenberg's surreal "Cosmopolis," the 26-year-old actor said that he's looking forward to looking back.
As much as the public may believe that Pattinson is just looking to be done with "Twilight," he said that he enjoyed the conclusion of "Breaking Dawn — Part 2," which will include a look at the entire series. "It's an amazing experience," he said. "It's a huge chunk of my life, and the end of the movie, the last few scenes, kind of look back at the whole series. It's so sweet."
But now that "Twilight" is coming to its end, Pattinson can say that he has changed significantly since his life as Edward Cullen began back in 2008. "I feel so much older now," he said. "The idea of if I had to do a sequel now, it would be like 'I'm not 17 anymore.' "
Still, after all these years, Pattinson continues to have a hard time comprehending the level of dedication the "Twilight" fans have maintained over the years. "I find it amazing, the intensity of people liking it. It's crazy," he said. "It's an elemental thing that it connected to, which I still don't understand. I hope people like it."
