Robert Pattinson has been sharing his thoughts on the sex scene between his character Edward Cullen and Kristen Stewart's Bella Swan in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1.
The pair sleep together for the first time in the film, and Pattinson has admitted that he thought Edward should cry at the end.
He told Entertainment Weekly: "I wanted to have it as a line so much, 'I bit through all the pillows. Every. Single. One'. And then [Edward would] start crying.
The 25-year-old joked that it would be the destruction of the bed, rather than a night of passion with Bella, that reduced him to tears, saying: "By the way, that's what [Edward] should be ashamed of in the morning," Pattinson said. "All those beautiful pillows! Egyptian cotton! 'I ruined this bed!'"
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 is to be released on November 18.
