Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks to tour together

Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks have announced that they will be touring together this spring on the Heart & Soul Tour. They made the announcement on Thursday's edition of the Ellen DeGeneres show. The tour kicks off on March 20 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and runs through mid-April.

Stewart commented on the tour "We haven't yet begun rehearsals but I can already tell you this, with Stevie on board our audiences are in store for an evening of pure rock & roll music. I'm already thinking about which of my old favourites to bring back and vocally, I think we've both begun thinking about which songs might be great fun and well-suited for a duet or two."

Rod's latest release is the fifth volume of his Great American Songbook with a best of the series coming in a couple of weeks. It doesn't sound like there will be too much from that era of his career, with more of an emphasis on his rock material. Nicks releases her new album In Your Dreams on May 3 with the first single, Secret Love, out on February 3.

Tickets go on sale on January 21 at 10 AM.
