2010 has been a big year for Rod, after Fly Me To The Moon: The Great American Songbook Volume V went into the top five on both sides of the Atlantic - and he got nominated for a Grammy for Best Traditional Pop Vocal.
As well as playing a two-week sell out run at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, he also learned he is set to become a father for the eighth time.
But despite the fact that he will turn 66 in January, he has no plans to give it all up.
He told Scottish newspaper the Daily Record: 'Oh no! I've banished the word from the house.
'You're a long time dead, so why retire?'
He is having his next child with his third wife Penny Lancaster, 39.
