Ron Wood has a specific goal in mind when the Rolling Stones get together next month, to convince them to play the Glastonbury Festival this summer.
While at the Elle Style Awards in London, he was asked about a Glastonbury date "Wouldn't it be nice. We've got a meeting next month and that's going to be my first question to them. It's something I've always been interested in. I'm going to twist their arms."
Wood also said he hoped they would continue their tour after their successful London and New York shows late last year. "I've got lots of high hopes this year, now that we're all rehearsed – let's get it cracking this summer!"
NME reports that Glastonbury will be streamed on-line this year by the BBC with cameras at all stages. No word on if the stream will be available for viewing outside the U.K.
