The British comedian and self-confessed sex addict is said to have been struggling through a two-week period of enforced celibacy before their big day.
Russell, 35, and Katy, 25, are expected to tie the knot on October 23 in a Hindu ceremony at an Indian palace in the company of 85 family members and friends.
A source told the Sunday Mirror: 'Katy wants everything to be special for their wedding including the first night. Russell has reluctantly agreed.'
The California Gurls singer is expected to trade her skimpy outfits for a sari so as not to offend her Indian hosts. The couple will then enjoy their first night as man and wife at the luxury Taj Rambagh Palace Hotel in Rajasthan.
