Having crossed the pond to spend more time with fiancé Katy Perry, the British funnyman said he worries that Morrissey may try to use his pet passport to escape.
Russell, 35, told FHM: 'He's staying there now, unless there's a serious turnaround, but he's got a pet passport now.
“There are limitations. He can't do it without my aid or without my permission. Even if I'm not living there and someone says, 'Morrissey seems to be indicating that he wants to come to London,' if I go, 'Absolutely not,' there's no way that he can veto that.'
Poor Morrissey has also had trouble fitting in with Katy's cat Kitty Purry and their joint kitten Krusty.
He added: 'Krusty is very buoyant and aggressive, but she's really joining the tribes of Kitty Purry and Morrissey together because she's overly-confident and initially Morrissey and Kitty Purry didn't get on.'
