Russell Brand has been given the opportunity to create a new show in the US.
Given a six-episode run, the show will air on Fox's sister network FX, which is home to shows like Dexter, The Walking Dead and Family Guy.
BBC News reports that FX executive Nick Grad said the network was "excited" about working with Brand's "bracingly funny, original, and honest voice", and that the show would be an "unvarnished, unfiltered take on current events, politics and pop culture," similar to his Channel 4 series Ponderland, which ran between 2007 and 2008.
As well as this show, he will also be given the chance to create his own animated TV show on Fox's parent channel.
