The comedian posted a pic of himself on Twitter saying he is planning to escape but it’s “bloody hard to dig a tunnel with a chopstick”.
Brand had joined wife Katy Perry in Tokyo as she continued her California Dreams world tour.
But, according to the singer, he was thrown out of the country for criminal convictions dating back at least 10 years.
Perry tweeted: “So...my husband just got deported from Japan. I am so sad. I brought him all this way to show him my favorite place #tokyodreamscrushed. It was for priors from over 10 years ago!”
She also said her shows would definitely go on: “...But of COURSE I ? my Japanese fans & the show #MUSTGOON no matter the daily aftershocks or husband kidnappings!'
