Overview
The 35-year-old British funnyman and actor confirmed that he is in talks to join the cast, but said that he will only agree if he can fit it in around spending time with Perry, who is currently on a world tour.
He told Entertainment Weekly, 'I have to make sure I see me wife (sic) enough, but if we can work out the schedule, then yeah, I want to do it.'
Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin and Mary J. Blige are all rumoured to be appearing in the Hollywood adaptation of the Broadway show, making it hard for Brand to say no.
He added, 'Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, rock music of the '80s - you can't go wrong. And I've already got the hair. I am way ahead of them on that account (sic).'
