This fall, entrepreneur and media mogul Russell Simmons is hitting the road to showcase his newest designs for his menswear label, Argyleculture.
The hip-hop guru will continue his fashion revolution with a series of Macy's appearances through November. Stopping in New York, Virginia, Illinois, Georgia, and Michigan, the tour will not only allow Argyleculture fans to meet and greet the fashion industry leader, but celebrate the sophisticated designs of the Fall 2010 collection. Created for the "urban graduate" - the man over the age of 25 who has "arrived" and is beginning to fulfill their dreams both personally and professionally-- Argyleculture infuses original detailing with the buttoned-up styling of men's professional attire, including suits, argyle vests, zip-up sweaters, plaid oxfords, polos, and denims of different washes.
The collection sure sounds stylin'. I bet ARTISTdirect editor Rick Florino will be rocking some of these threads.
"The breakout moment for Argyleculture has arrived. I'll be going city to city on this Macy's tour connecting with my customers to continue promoting the Argyleculture brand," explains Russell Simmons.
Locations/Dates are as follows:
Norfolk, Virginia – Military Circle – Friday, October 15, 2010
Brooklyn, New York – Green Acres – Saturday, October 23, 2010

As part of the five week tour, customers who attend the scheduled Macy's events will be given a Mini World Dog-tag Pendant and chain from Simmons Jewelry Co, with an Argyleculture purchase of $100 or more. The limited edition piece -with a retail value of $95-- features a "brushed finish" etching of the world's continents and embodies the values of confidence, respect and style inherent to the brand.
For fans across the country who cannot attend the regional Macy's events, Simmons Design Group is set to the launch a video of the Fall 2010 presentation. The video can be viewed here: www.GlobalGrind.com.
In the midst of the city tour, Argyleculture's Fall 2010 campaign will be unveiled on October 11, 2010, revealing model Tyson Beckford as the face of the label. As the quintessential "urban graduate," Beckford demonstrates how the collection reflects classic American style with the powerful influence of hip-hop.
