Ryan Adams, who was due to play a string of West Coast shows this month, has scrapped those plans.

The promoter for Adams' Seattle and Portland shows announced that the cancellations were due to illness. A spokesperson for the artist could not be reached by press time for further details.
Adams and his band were touring behind their May release, "Cold Roses." The two-disc set features the singer/songwriter backed by guitarists J.P. Bowersock and Cindy Cashdollar, drummer Brad Pemberton and bassist Catherine Popper; the group is collectively billed as The Cardinals.
"Cold Roses" is the first of three albums that Adams plans to deliver this year.
