Forget about the fact that he is a very talented and successful actor: Ryan Gosling is pretty much killing it on the Internets these days.
First, there was a certain meme he addressed for us late last year, and then a couple of weeks ago, he delighted us again by breaking up a street fight between an artist and an alleged thief in the viral video seen 'round the world.
When MTV News caught up with the busy crime fighter as he promoted his upcoming film "Drive," we asked for his thoughts about the video and the altercation itself.
"I'm embarrassed," he admitted. "I think that guy really was stealing that other guy's painting, so I should have just kept my nose out of it. It was sad, because it turns out that I said to the guy, 'Why are you doing this?' He said, 'Well, he tried to steal my painting.' I said, 'How do you know?' and he said, 'Well, he comes here every day and looks at my paintings,' which means the guy was a fan, and so he wanted the painting so bad he had to steal it because he couldn't afford it. So he finally steals the painting, and then he's getting his ass kicked by his hero, and then the guy from 'The Notebook' shows up and makes it weirder. It's just, the whole thing, nobody wins, nobody won," he added, looking dejected.
We then assured him that he did, indeed, win, given his good intentions and being a good Samaritan.
"I did not win," he said. "I had just come from the gymnasium, and I was all stretched out and feeling warmed up. So, I'm embarrassed."
Check out everything we've got on "Drive."
