Ryan Gosling used to run around neighbourhood naked

The 30-year-old’s mum, Donna tells US GQ that her son couldn’t sit still when he was a little boy living in Ontario, Canada.

She says: “He was like an escape artist. He’d run out of the house naked.

“I told all the neighbourhood kids: ‘If you see Ryan, don’t come get me. Sit on him and send someone else’.”

The Blue Valentine star says he had no playmates. He says: “I had no pals. None.”

A member of The All New Mickey Mouse Club when he was a child, Gosling says he believes in dreams and magic and often visits Disneyland incognito, going on the rides.

Believing in magic seems to be a family trait. In fact Gosling claims that his mother still believes in Father Christmas.

“I come from a family of believers,” he says.

“My mother still believes in Santa Claus. We tried to break it to her once but she wasn’t having any of it.

“There are very few believers in the world, but my mother is one of them.'
