People broke the news that the actress, 28, is engaged to boyfriend Romain Dauriac.
The two have been an item for nearly a year.
Marriage rumors began when Scarlett was at the 2013 Venice International Film Festival wearing a dramatic black gown and a wedding ring on her left ring finger.
This will be the second marriage for Johansson, who was previously wed to actor Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2010.
Johansson's past lovers have included Sean Penn and ad executive Nate Naylor.
