Two-time Grammy winner Scott Weiland just debuted his new, retro-inspired video for "Winter Wonderland," which finds him channeling the signature sound that Bing Crosby brought to the song nearly 50 years ago. The song is the first release from his new Christmas album The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.
The inception of the album began two years ago when Weiland first performed "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. The singer says Frank Sinatra's legendary 1957 recording of the song, which featured a full orchestra, inspired his take on this sentimental favorite. The Most Wonderful Time of the Year also features timeless holiday standards such as "The Christmas Song," "White Christmas," and "I'll Be Home For Christmas." There are surprises as well, including a reggae version of "O Holy Night" complete with steel drums, a spritely "Silent Night" propelled by a bossa nova beat and a jazzy "What Child Is This?" where Weiland channels his inner Van Morrison.
The album is available now in stores and on all digital retail outlets (iTunes / Amazon)- get more details at ScottWeiland.com.
