Scott Weiland Accuses "Wives" Of Velvet Revolver Downfall.
Scott Weiland has accused "the wives" and "petty jealousies" of sparking the downfall of Velvet Revolver.
In an interview with details.com, Weiland said "everyone was a rock star. There were petty jealousies. Then the wives got involved with the business of the band, and that was the beginning of the downfall."
Early on in the band, however, Weiland said "We had all been through the same experiences, and it felt like a gang."
The "petty jealousies" of Velvet Revolver are over now as they continue to search for a new singer and Weiland reunites with his former bandmates in Stone Temple Pilots.
The Pilots also fell apart less than amicably, but now that they're all clean have managed to push aside their differences.
Weiland claims "No one does drugs anymore," and they "laugh at the same funny stories we were laughing at years ago."
They have their first record in nine years coming out in June. In the meantime, you can catch a sneak peek of the track 'Between The Lines' on the STP fan page Below Empty.
