Sean Lennon and girlfriend `will never escape John and Yoko comparisons`

Lennon and Kemp have formed a band, The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger, and asked how hard it is escaping the John and Yoko comparisons Sean conceded: 'I don't think we could. I'm kind of past even expecting to be accepted as me, actually.

'I think the big picture is it's nice that people remember my parents, but on the day-to-day level it's a little bit tiring that when people look at me they don't really see me - they just see a reflection, or something that reminds them of my dad. I just can't escape it.'

Charlotte added: 'I think people who are negative and saying 'Oh he doesn't measure up', it's kind of cruel.' Turning to Sean, she told him: 'I couldn't be you, that's for sure.'
