It may not seem right to put The Sex Pistols in a museum, but they're the subject of a new exhibition in London.
"Punk: A True and Dirty Tale" focuses on the band's visual aspect. The exhibit features three parts -- designer Vivienne Westwood, who did the band's clothes, graphic artist Jamie Reid, who made up their posters, and manager Malcolm McLaren. The three of them met at art school in the late 1960's. The exhibit features early posters calling them "London's most notorious band," some of their clothes, and Sex Pistols patches, stickers, and handkerchiefs. There's even a poster from the hotel room where Sid Vicious allegedly stabbed to death his girlfriend, Nancy Spungen. The poster appears to be splattered with blood. The exhibit is running at a gallery owned by Dave Stewart of Eurythmics.document.write(unescape("
