Shakira is pregnant with her second child.
The Hips Don't Lie singer confirmed the news to Cosmopolitan México on Thursday.
"Well yes, the truth is that I am pregnant," she reportedly told the outlet.
Rumours the Colombian songstress was expecting surfaced when she was seen with what some speculated was a small baby bump while appearing at the World Cup closing ceremony in Brazil last month.
Shakira and professional soccer player Gerard Piqué welcomed their first child, a son named Milan, in January of 2013.
The star back in June told reporters the couple are not planning to marry, and insisted she's happy to continue as they are.
"We already have what's essential, you know?" she mused during an interview with Glam Belleza Latina magazine. "We have a union, a love for each other, and a baby. I think that those aspects of our relationship are already established, and marriage is not going to change them. But if I'm ever going to get married, he's the one," she said.
In May, the singer opened up about how she had pinged back into shape since welcoming baby Milan.
While she admits her new figure took some getting used to, the star now insists she has other priorities.
"It was a shock, the first time I looked in the mirror after giving birth," she admitted to the German edition of Women's Health. "You wonder whether it's even possible to look the way you did before," she said, adding that she's now focused on feeling confident and beautiful for herself and for her family.
"If you don't move, you feel rubbish. That's why it's so important to stay on the go. Being fit makes your self-confidence stronger. And being confident is always sexy," she explained.
"I have a child and a husband I want to be there for."
