The new Sheryl Crow album is a full-on collaboration with former Noiseworks multi-instrumentalist Justin Stanley.
Stanley was a founding member of Noiseworks and played on all three albums. After Noiseworks he formed Electric Hippies and then met and married American singer Nikka Costa and moved to the USA.
Stanley became a member of Beck's touring band in 2005 and has recorded with Jet, Baby Animals and Ryan Bingham.
He co-produced the new Sheryl Crow album '100 Miles from Memphis' with Doyle Bramhall III and plays various instruments on the record.
'100 Miles To Memphis' is the 7th studio album for Crow. The album is her first soul record.
Sheryl covers the Terence Trent D'Arby classic 'Sign Your Name' on the album and has some newcomer named Keith Richards playing guitar on the track 'Eye To Eye'. (NB: that Keith kid is good. He might go places).
Universal will release '100 Miles To Memphis' this week.
