Overview
Martin's second album Rare Bird Alert is set to be released on June 13 and McCartney, along with the Dixie Chicks, will be making an appearance on the new record.
Martin's debut album, The Crow: New Songs For The 5 String Banjo, was released in 2009 but he is best known for roles in films such as Father Of The Bride and Cheaper By The Dozen.
The Hollywood star will be playing three dates in the UK later this year with one at the London HMV Hammersmith Apollo on July 8.
Another will be at Manchester's O2 Apollo the following day and the third at the Glasgow Clyde Cultural Hall on July 10.
Tickets will be available from April 8.
