As doors opened on the sold-out second day of Lovebox 2015 at London's Victoria Park the sunshine welcomed a sea of happy, smiling revellers for an incredible day of festival fun.
On the Main Stage the excitement was building for Snoop Dogg's return to Lovebox, as super-cool duo Lion Babe, the elegant Jessie Ware, Radio 1 taste-maker Annie Mac and electro pop mavericks Hot Chip kept the crowd dancing all day. Hip hop royalty Snoop closed the festival with an inspired performance.
Noisey presented the West Stage, with an electrifying live set from Little Dragon and a DJ set from electronic pioneer Bonobo, while dance-masters Flight Facilities and inimitable hip hop face Danny Brown also appeared.
The Big Top, presented by Soundcrash in association with Clash, saw an enchanting performance from Nils Frahm, while Flume enthralled and Squarepusher pushed boundaries in the closing set with a visually spellbinding performance.
After an astounding day one, Barcelona hot spot Elrow shone with Waze & Odyssey, Yousef and James Zabiela soundtracking a loud and wild extravaganza. Legendary DJ Greg Wilson closed the Corona Sunsets stage hot on the heels of Craig Richards and Eagle superstars Horse Meat Disco.
At the Bamboo Club with BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix, Ben UFO, Joy Orbison and Soul Clap led the way before Kim Ann Foxman played back-to-back with Heidi – a dynamic face-off between two of electronic music's most exciting DJs – before Kerri Chandler brought the arena to peak excitement. And James Murphy and 2manydjs played an epic six-hour set at their custom-built disco den Despacio sound-system for the second day.
Other Lovebox highlights included the Mountain Dew skate park, teeming with skate-talent and bewitched onlookers on both days. The Roller Disco saw buoyant Loveboxers letting loose, and the Bandstand Remixed stage with Chris Tofu (AKA the Shangri-La superstar) and Global Local Productions featured an eclectic lineup. Balearics ruled at the Corona Sunsets Stage, and The Roundhouse and Secret Forum's Voicebox celebrated the human voice. The Barbican and workspace innovators The Trampery's Fish Island Labs installation provided a unique spectacle and Charlene the Hoola Queen displayed extraordinary hoops skills and tricks.
An epic end to an incredible two days, Snoop Dogg closed the Main Stage to the delight of 40,000 fans. What a way to end Lovebox 2015. Thank you to all that made it so magical.
