Radio and TV presenter, Jo Whiley, is teaming up with learning disability charity Mencap for the second year of the Little Noise Sessions, a series of intimate, acoustic gigs.
The gigs will take place from Wednesday 21 November to Wednesday 28 November 2007, at Islington's Union Chapel. The Chapel is known for its ambience and acoustics and has an intimate capacity of 600.
The line up is as follows with more names and dates to be announced in the coming weeks:
Wednesday 21 November – Athlete, The Hoosiers, plus special guests
Thursday 22 November - Will Young plus special guests
Friday 23 November - Biffy Clyro, We Are Scientists, Young Knives
Saturday 24 November - The Pigeon Detectives plus special guests
Sunday 25 November - Snow Patrol plus special guests
Tuesday 27 November - The Enemy, plus special guests
Wednesday 28 November - Keane, Rilo Kiley, Scouting for Girls
Those wanting tickets must register online at www.mencapmusic.org.uk. Ticket registration opens at 12.00 Tuesday 2 October and closes at 12.00 Friday 19 October. Those who have registered can then buy tickets online on a first-come-first-served basis from 9.00 Monday 22 October. Tickets are £35 each.
Jo Whiley, who is an ambassador for the charity, said: "Mencap's Little Noise Sessions are a great opportunity to see big name bands play an acoustic gig in an intimate setting, whilst raising money for a really worthwhile cause."
