Sons And Daughters, Glasgow's brightest new stars, are set to release a new single in May.
Dance Me In, the debut single from the band's first full-length studio album, is due for release on May 23rd. Already a highlight of Sons And Daughters live set, the track was produced by ex-Orange Juice front man and legendary fellow Scot Edwyn Collins. The single will be available on cd and 7†vinyl with additional tracks to be announced.
The Glasgow based quartet are currently putting the finishing touches to their forthcoming and as yet untitled album, the follow up to 2004's (mini) album Love The Cup. The album was produced by Victor Van Vugt (Nick Cave/PJ Harvey/Kylie Minogue) and recorded at Conny Plank's studio in Cologne, the fêted German studio whose output has included seminal works by the likes of Kraftwerk, Brian Eno, Neu and Devo. The album is expected to be released in the summer.
Love The Cup, the band's debut release, a bewitching blend of dark rockabilly spliced with traditional folk, made a impressive impact on it's release last summer. With an array of dazzling reviews under their collective belts and a growing fan base the band are destined for bigger and better things in 2005….
